Some new fabrics...

Hello! Happy Holidays!!!

I got a few new fabrics for spring, I love them all!! Can't wait to get me machine back and start creating!! They only had 1 and a quarter yard of the blue one tho:(

It's snowing!

Ok, this post is more personal than about Sew Frivolous! We got our first more than an inch accumulation yesterday. So of course we did our annual night sledding and wanted to share the good time. No this hill isn't very big, its in our back yard:)

p.s. whaat a horrible picture of Gary! lol...caught him mid laugh, he looks huge..lol!

New Peasant Blouse

What a fun top! this peasant top features an elastic neckline, elastic sleeves (get short, 3/4 length (pictured), or long) and features an elastic waist! It looks adorable and has a more fitted appearance. It is long enough that when the arms are raised the shirt waist doesn't move. So know accidental belly shots:)

I'm also going to make one that has a little fabric under the elastic, for a more tunic style! As soon as I get a chance:)

Few New Fabrics

The white owl fabric is flannel for lounge pants!! The purple will be the new "Charity" dress!

What a week! Last week was just crazy for me!! I had to cancel a trip to Florida over new years, I had been planning. Gary's carlot finally got an SRX like I wanted(been wanting one for over a year now), I drove it and hated it!! Friday, it snowed:( Then comes the weekend and everything kind of changed for the better, but got kind of odd...Saturday I got a tattoo (pictured- Childhood Stroke Awareness ribbon for my daughter Makeya), then actually bought a minivan..lol...I know I said never again, but..I did it for my girls:) Gary and I had dinner and drinks with brother in law and his wife! Then Sunday we drove two hours to Gary's Dads house for an overdue visit, very relaxing and fun! Then headed back to town to meet up for dinner with my side of the family, my dear cousin from Florida (Mindy who did my tattoo at American Tattoo Company) was heading back that evening, so glad I got to see her one more time before she left. I'm heading down to see her next (Woo hoo, Cocoa Beach Florida, sure beats Indiana:). Then today it is suppose to be in the 70's !! More good news, I hope it keeps coming!

Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween to you and yours!! My girls just left for school in there lil halloween dresses (one orange with witches and one blue with owls, will hopefully get pics when they get home). Emma in jeans and long sleeves, no spooky spirit for her this a.m. My girls are excited for trick or treating Sunday! They have decided to go as female super heros! I have a wonder woman, a bat girl , and a supergirl! Adorable!! Can't wait to post pics!!

No new styles to report...though nI did buy some pink elephant cotton. It is adorable and makes great loungepants. Also bought some polka dots that coordinate the elephants for appliqued shirts. Choose a shape or a letter, or whatever you can come up with I will get it done, lol!

New Twirl Dress!!

Wow, two post in one day, but this dress turned out so beautifully, I couldn't keep it to myself!! So here it is.

Free Flowing Tiered Skirt!!

I love this new skirt!! I was sitting here last night (after returning from my third ever Zumba class, Yikes!!) and I was searching patterns, trying to find something different that isn't already all over etsy....nothing!! Then it hit me, I LOVE LOVE LOVE long tiered skirts! I wear them all the time, why not make them for girls too? So I checked, no one on etsy offers long tiered skirts, short tiered skirts, yes, lots, but not long almost ankle length!

So I was up half the night perfecting this pattern and skirt!! I'm thrilled with the results, I can't wait for my girl to wake up so I can put them on them:)

Thoughts, Suggestions?? I'd love them all!!
