2010 Holiday Fabrics

I'm on my way out the door, but just got these in and had to get them posted for you!! They are beautiful, the gold and silver fabric is very glitzy!! Love them!!
What should I do in what design??? The last one is going to be amazing in the classic Aline, its a little too busy to do much else with, (at least I think, I could be wrong)

Schools In!

What a busy couple of weeks!! School is in session for us!! Woo Hoo!! I have closed my booth at Romweber:( I have had a crazy rush of orders, YAH!! I have found some gorgeous plaid fabric(pictured), I've been searching for Christmas, Holiday fabric, fun! I have had to replace that darn machine I bought a couple months ago (so far, this one is working beautifully!!) All this with Cross Country and Soccer practices and games going on:) Oh yeah, and lets not forget I have my 16 month old nephew about 3 days a week. I have been busy!!
No fear!! I'm still going strong!! I made that beautiful cardigan as a a special order for a very special client:) It turned out so gorgeous!! I had to post it and list it! I'm still trying to figure out how to make one in adult sizes, no luck yet...can't figure out the chest area, can't find a pattern for one even close!! I can't even make one for my own girls:) That is horrible, because it is so darn cute!
I have placed an order for Holiday fabric (the largest one I will place this year, may still pick up some random fabric) it is suppose to be here tomorrow, so if it show I will post it on here, so anyone interested can see it first and you lovely people will get fisrt dibs!
Have a great weekend everyone!!

Wrap Dress

Good Morning, afternoon or Evening!! Well I tried out the wrap dress:
I love the concept, but the sizing is way off! I made a 5T/6, and it is huge on my 6 year old that wears a 6X. It did fit my 8 year old tho...? I guess that I will have to try a smaller size and see how that goes, but I hate wasting fabric! I'm thinking maybe the coruroy might not be right for that style either as it makes it appear more coatish than dressish.
Now the new plaid fabric I got is amazing!! Gorgeous!! It is pictured here in the inverted pleat aline style. I can't wait to see the views on this dress!!

HAlloween season begins...

Who wants to spend alot of money on a dress your lil one is only going to wear once?? Not me...

So hopefully this week I will be working on some reversible alines and pinafores to get up and listed in my shop. Here is a sampling!!

I love, love this dress. It is a nice deep purple with bblack bats with green eyes. On teh reverside it is a green, teal and brown plaid. Not that anybpody asked but, a diaper cover in green ( the right color green, which I have) matches both sides!!

Can you imagine how cut this tunic would be with black boots???:) Green colored hair spray in a couple pigtails!! Yep! I'm gonna have to make a couple for my girls!!

My first weekend at Romweber Marketplace

I have since added my sewing machine in there and a shelf above it on the left side.
So, I just finished up my first weekend at Romweber Marketplace. Am I rich??? Nope still way in the negative, but I am very hopeful!I had one sale all weekend. But with such a small inventory I didn't expect much!
I love the people I work with, what a nice bunch of people!!
I moved my machine in Sunday which was a great idea! Not only did it draw people into my shop I got some work done too!! Friday I discovered that my nephew either hates or loves the place. He wanted to run all over the place, my oldest had to chace him for four and a half hours (yes I paid her for it) the twins just wanted to run up and down the aisles and squeal with delight, all the while you have artists trying to paint:(
Emma of course found a friend right off and they played in the arcade most of the time and behaved well. My conclusion came to, I can't realistically run my shop and watch my kids, let alone my kids and my nephew (who is 17months). So I'm going to have to ask for some help from my family. That won't go over well:(
Anyway,
I'm hopeful for next week! Lots of interest was shown now I just got to let people know I'm there.
